Given the irony my father despise video games, Nintendo has finally unveiled "Project NX" in the form of its latest game system, the "Nintendo Switch," three days ago on my old man's birthday. Jokes aside, after a missed opportunity at E3 this past year, I finally saw what the buzz its about in the trailer seen below...
The Reveal Trailer...

So Here's What We Know So Far...
Now contrary to initial speculations, the Nintendo Switch is a handheld gaming system. According to the press release from Nintendo's official website, the "Switch" provides not only both single and multiplayer gaming experience, but also enables gamers to play the same title anywhere, if not, everywhere. The console itself connects to the TV via the Switch Dock, but when removed, the system automatically switches (hence the name) to portable mode which allows you to play on the go. Additionally, the Joy-Con controller can attach to and detach from the system while playing on the go, or slip into the Joy-Con Grip accessory when playing at home.
Also in its press releases, 48 confirmed third-party companies annonced their support for Nintendo Switch.

On the day it's reveal, NVIDIA Co., the California-based technology, has confirmed it's custom graphic processing unit "Tegra" will power the Nintendo Switch according to NVIDIA's blog. "The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards," stated Ashish Karandikar, NVIDIA's VP of Hardware Engineering. Karandikar added to the blog, "NVIDIA additionally created new gaming APIs to fully harness this performance. The newest API, NVN, was built specifically to bring lightweight, fast gaming to the masses."
In addition, Nintendo Switch will also support Unreal Engine 4, as confirm by Unreal Engine via Twitter.
Several games have been confirmed for the upcoming console including (but not limited to) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (originally a Wii U exclusive) and potentially a new Super Mario, Splatoon and Mario Kart games. (Actually titles for the upcoming games are yet to be announced.) Also, Just Dance 2017 and the yet-to-be-titled Sonic the Hedgehog game slated for 2017, has also been confirmed for the Switch, according to Eurogamer and Gamasutra respectively. Despite showing support as one of many third-party developers for the Switch, Bethesda, along with Nintendo, was at the center of controversy after gameplay footage of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was featured on the reveal trailer for the Switch. Shortly after, it was confirmed by a Bethesda spokeperson on GameIndustry.biz that Skyrim is not confirmed for the Switch "just yet," but rather showing support for Nintendo's new console which explains the gameplay footage.
Unfortunely, it's been reported from several gaming sites, will not be backwards compatible with the Wii U software or 3Ds game cards. Instead, the Switch will use the game card media much like the 3Ds. The Nintendo Switch is set to release on March 2017. While not officially confirmed by Nintento, the rumored MSRP is $299.99 USD (unless stated otherwise). My Two Cents on Nintendo Switch
Despite the fact that Nintendo is one of the longest-endured companies in all of gaming, their previous home console hardware throughout the last 20 years has been hit and miss at best. The Nintendo Wii U, in which I own, got hit the hardest by being outsold by the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft XBox One, and even its predecessor the original Wii. However giving it's success of Nintendo's current-gen handheld, the 3DS, and recent jump into the mobile gaming market, the ever stubborn "Big N" is not throwing in the towel in this current console war.
Now whether or not that Nintendo's new "hybrid" console is the successor to the Wii U and/or 3DS is entirely up for debate. One thing's for sure, regardless of Nintendo's risky and innovated decisions, I like here this is going. The Wii U was the first Nintendo console I ever bought with my own money. While imperfect, it has it's perks. While I see some similarities with the Wii U design, the Switch really shows it's "take gaming anywhere, everywhere," concept. Given its GPUs and mass third-party support from publishers and developers compare to its predecessor, I will say its an improvement. I'm impressed with the knowledge I researched so far. Of course, something as promising never comes without its speculation and concerns. One being very obvious is the lack of backward compatibly, which is a standard for nostalgic gamers in today's era. While their's no doubt that classic games of Nintendo's past to be available digitally for the Switch, nothing can compare to the physical copy of the previous generation game. While I like the concept, I'm iffy on the Joy-Con controller features, even though it allows the players to control the game wireless. The "switching and gaming on the go" feature is innovative, I can not help but to repressed about the Wii U's gaming pad battery life. Given what the trailer above was selling, the Switch's mobile mode look like it'll use a vast amount of power. The fast-draining battery was the biggest issue for the Wii U's gaming pad, but I hope that Nintendo doesn't make the same mistake with its upcoming console. Enclosing...
Concerns aside, I applaud Nintendo for staying the innovation route even with the negative feedback they received since the original Wii. While the Nintendo Switch has been announced, it's too soon to say what will the outcome will be upon its March 2017 release. It definitely capture my interest, but I won't get it on day one. Not at least, until there several exclusive games that get my attention. Here's no doubt there will be more info on the Nintedo Switch in the coming months.
Also, on the side note, I don't mind the name which match the concept, but "NX" sounded more suited for the console, in my honest opinion. So what are your thoughts on the Nintendo Switch? Let me know in the comments. Until next time, keep it lock!

For those who been watching a few of my recent videos, you'll probably notice that I bleeped out the profanity I use and censored some of the adult content featured (i.e. TRIBALCHILD TV: Kill la Kill Review). There are two reasons for doing as such. One reason, YouTube has recently change its content policy, mainly for monetized content in form of Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines. According to the YouTube Help page, in which explain it's Ad-friendly guildlines, content that is considered "not advertiser-friendly" includeds, if not limited to:
Several YouTube Content creators, including fellow Dynasty member, Sonic the Ghetto Hog Productions, isn't too happy with these new guidelines as ranted in the video below... (NSFW: Language) Like the head of the Ghetto-Hog Nation, none of my content has been effected by the sudden and unfavorable change of policy. Additionally, I find it unfair for content creators like Cinemasscre, J.I. Mathers, and others known for their profane language and adult humor to have their content demonetized because they are not ad-friendly. If YouTube total disregard for fair-use isn't bad enough, but also "freedom of speech."
However, that is not the primary reason why I decided to censored my recent videos. The main reason is that more of more of my family members, including my mother and younger siblings, became aware of my content and my earliest work isn't actually family friendly. So I felt is necessary to censored some of my future content for the sake of my family and younger viewers. However, not every single video I'll release in the future will be censored. Any future video that will not be "edited for content" will be age-restricted via Restriction mode. Depending on the feedback will determine the way I upload videos for YouTube. So what you all think of my decision to censored my recent content? Should I keep it clean or go back to making them uncut? Let me know in the comments... `;P Given YouTube's strict copyright policies, it comes to no surprised that the TRIBALCHILD TV Season 3 Finale, where I review Kill la Kill, has been blocked in four countries, including the United States. First time around, I edit the first part of the video and change the pitch of the audio. When I uploaded it the second time, I still get a copyright notice and get block. Naturally, I was disappointed that YouTube's ContentID feature don't recongized "fair use." After trying twice with no prevail, I filed a dispute claiming that the video follows the ground of fair use. As of this blog, I have not recieved any word on the status of my blocked video. I even made a video addressing the unfortunate news, which you can watch below if you haven't done so on the main page already... NOTE: The video explaining why the Kill la Kill review was blocked has since been removed. If you didn't catch that later half of the video, you can watch the uncensored version on my Patreon page, in which is available to everybody, not just my patrons. Until my claim gets resolved on YouTube, my Patreon would be the only place to watch my review, which can be seen here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tribalchild-tv-3-6880271 That is all, for now. Now it's avaliable for all to see on YouTube!!
Watch it right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To3IUyUJYIg Good news and bad news time!
Good News: Both the Patreon and YouTube versions of the TRIBALCHILD TV season finale where I review Kill la Kill are now complete, finally. Bad News: Unfortunately, it took a vast amount of time to upload the Patreon version to Sendvid where I upload the majority of my Patreon content, only to come across and error in uploading TWICE. And the YouTube version, given it's 1.9 GB size, it'll take some time for it to upload on YouTube. With both inconvenient obstacles that I'm facing, I may have to push back a few upcoming releases to ensure the availability of both videos. If Sendvid continues to give me problems uploading the Kill la Kill review and future uploads, I may have to resort to using a different video streaming website (recommendations are welcomed in the comments). I currently have no final release date on both videos yet, but they will be sometime this week. Also as far as the Patreon version of the TRIBALCHILD TV season finale which is the UNCENSORED version, it'll be avaliable for all to see as an reward for everybody's patience. Stay tuned and keep it lock for updates... `;P NSFW WARNING: The following blog contains profanity that may not be appropriate for anyone. Reader Discrection is Advised. As the old saying goes, "Shit happens." I don't know who actually said that or who was the first who did, but it's the undeniable truth. Especially in my case away. Given that I took the summer off away from making YouTube videos to find myself again, I need to make some sacrifices and find the motivation to get back to making content. Back in June, I posted a video announcing my hiatus... Mainly personal problems, working two jobs and losing motivition at the time is what keep me from making content. Taking a break wasn't the most easiest decision I made as a content creator but it has to be done. Now, I'm slowing regaining momentum to get back to where I was earlier in the year. That said, I want to come back in the best way possible, which leads me to my new promo I posted on the ADTC social media and made it as part of my splash page. I bet you're probably wondering why the depressing tone, listing my issues and the monotone expression? The reason for this is to express the fact the we all have issues. I got issues, you (the reader) got issues (whether or not you want to admit it) and anyone around someone got issues. However, there's someone other there got it bad worst than me and its the reason for the bottom caption: No matter what I'm going through or how bad I got it, the show must go on. That sentence alone let you all know what I'm coming back (though I am taking my time doing so).
Though it hasn't been easy year for me, it'll take a hell of allot more things in life to keep me from doing my thing. Stay tuned for more things to come... As you can tell by the constantly updated website, I'm slowing building myself back together. Recently, I made the not-so-difficult choice to resign from one of my paying jobs and keeping the other to make time for myself, my social life and of course making content. With the resignation of my morning and weekend retail gig (in which I regret applying there in the first place), I have more time getting back to making content with the free time I'm having, plus I miss having free weekends. So what's to come...? As I continue to progressing back to my regularly scheduled productivity time, there will be allot of changes in and outside ADTC Productions. In regards to my content, I'll just be working one video at a time and the same goes for any current and future collaborations. TRIBALCHILD TV SEASON 3 The very long-overdue two episodes to close out TRIBALCHILD TV's third season: The DragonBall Z Double Movie Review and the Kill la Kill Review. I'm currently working on the DBZ Double Movie Review as you're reading this blog. You can follow the progress on the reorganized Updated Releases page (in which I'll explain in detail below). My current plan is too release both episodes on Patreon and a week after on YouTube before the end of August so I can go ahead and start production on the fourth season. TRIBALCHILD TV Season 4 As stated in my Chage of Plans blog from March, the episode that were originally going to be in the third season will be pushed back to season four, in which is slated for later in the fall of this year. In addition to the five of the seven episodes there will be new episodes including some new reactions, my review of the first (and, for the time being, the only) season of the hit anime One Punch Man, and a 3-part review of the 2016 summer movies. For information in the coming weeks. ADTC Website's New Look and Pages If you haven't look thoroughly at the newly-designed ADTC Website, I made several changes in addition to the new look as well as the new and improved Upcoming Releases.. As you can see here, rather than having estimated release dates for all upcoming content like I did in the past, you can now see what project I'm currently working on. When the video is at 100% completion, it'll now have a day on when it'll be posted on my Patreon page follow by a YouTube version a week after. As always, the release day of each of my content can change at anytime so keep it lock into the ADTC Productions website and on social media for details.
And How am I doing? Honestly, I never felt better. After making some much need arrangements with my sources of income which leads to some much need free time, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted on my shoulders. For all my fans and supporters that stuck by me during this season-long hiatus, I thank you once again for you patience. I feel like I let you all down and willing to go from Hell to high water to make it all up to you. I am just thankful for things slowing getting back to normal. And why mess up a good thing? That's all for now. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days. Until then, keep it lock! Greetings, TribalChild Faithfuls! ADtheTribalChild is here to let you all know that I'm not dead (obviously) and I'm doing well so far with handling my personal and financial issues. Here are a few things I want to update you all down.
First things first, I'll still be active here on the ADTC Website as well as my social media pages; however, don't expect any updates on my content anytime soon (for now anyway). I'm doing so to keep you all up to date on the status on my hiatus like the one you reading now. I will still accept any donations and patrons on my Patreon page in hope to acquire the funds I need to buy or any new or updated equipment I need to produce quality content in the future. I will still also accept questions for episode 4 and onwards of Ask the TribalChild. Be sure to watch the Introduction and Rules Video for details. I've also been informed by L.G., founder and executive of the Dynasty Network, of the recent changes involving YouTube that sub-networks and its contents (with the Dynasty as part of the Freedom Network) can no longer receive ad revenue. It does not mean the end of the Dynasty for the network is currently making changes to became a stand alone YouTube partner. Me, on the other hand, I'm still working on making changes on my end. I'm not at the point that working two jobs are really start to put a strain on me and have to decide whether to give up one or the other. I hope that soon rather than later that I'll be back making videos. I do miss making videos but my health and state of mind comes first. Note: The views and options in this blog are only my own and it does not reflect those of Fine Bros. Entertainment, in which does not sponsor or endorse ADTC Productions.
Three months has passed since Fine Bros. Entertainment took a massive blow with the announcement of React World in which resulted in the loss over 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. With the brothers trademarking their "React" brand and the React World program itself, in which let's viewers grant content creators the license to create their own versions of the React shows), fans of the once-popular channel did not take it too well. After weeks Bennie and Ralf Fine doing damage control, apologizing, and even discontinuing the React World (in which let's viewers grant content creators the license to create their own versions of the React shows), the damage was already done. While thing's at Fine Bros. Entertainment are seem to be "back to normal," the scars from their damaged reputation remains. Despite the backlash, The Fine Bros. YouTube Channel still have over 13 million subscribers. Looking back to the FBE's fall from grace back in January back when React World was announced, I understand the anger of most viewers as far as copyrighting "React" and rumored lawsuits, but was the negative feedback really justifiable? In my honest option, I believe what hit FBE the hardest was the copyright the term "React" and the overreaction (no pun intended, by the way) of the YouTube audience as well as content creators who make reaction videos. Probably the biggest misconception is that with React World and the copyright situation, FBE want to make the reaction format as their own. The reality is, that the copyright only applies to the "React" Brand (Teens React, Elders React, etc.), not to take over or shut down reaction videos as their own. And what's worst, any content that FBE released after React World was announced was slammed with a high number of dislikes (by bitter former FBE viewers and mostly internet trolls). In other words, FBE's only intention was to own the intelliculal property rights of their "React" brand and not reaction videos as a format. After discontinuing React World and voluntarily resigned the "React" trademarks, the content and support slowly gain back to normal for The Fine Bros. but possibly will never regain it's once-popularity. We live in the society where we use to internet to attack (or in this case, troll), anyone and anything behind a computer. While the FBE hate come to no surprise, neither does the hate they've received without even "getting over it." Like celebrities, politicians and known fighters, internet personalities, including the content creators on YouTube, will received backlash in one way or the other. Some take the logical route and stop supporting them all together, while many others send out petty hate just out of spite or just to troll at their expense. While Benny and Ralf are at fault for not making the now-defunct React World clear to its viewers and supporters, there are other things to be angry about. Who what do you all think? Does the Fine Bros. deserve another change? Are you over the React World debacle? Or is it really the case of guilty until proven guilty? I want to read your thoughts in the comments... The last five years as a content creator for ADtheTribalChild Productions has been one hell of a journey. Not the most "smooth sailing" of journeys mind you, but a journey nonetheless. I honestly though I'd be burned out making YouTube videos at the half way point. Initially, I started making videos as a hobby back in my college years and when MySpace was a "thing."
Before graduating from Cincinnati State, my younger brother El introduced me to YouTube. After making vlogs on MySpace and eventually Facebook, I decided to give YouTube a shoot under the name "DreadZeppelin1" (the number was included due to the name was taken by the reggae-skit Led Zeppelin cover band of the same name). Then boredom kicked in and took down the channel after only a year, but I didn't stop making videos though. Fast forward to 2010, long after I graduated from college and burned out from MySpace, I've been watching more and more YouTube videos. At the time, I was amaze of how much original content there are that isn't a movie/TV clip or AMV. After much though, I decided to open another YouTube account under ADtheTribalChild and there it began with my first series, TRIBALCHILD TV. Normally, this is the part where I say "and the rest is history." Turns out, I learned allot from becoming a content creator and it takes more than just making a video with a camera and call it a day. I learned from the videos I watch of the tool of the trade in making videos like using a video editing software, how to edit and balance sounds, adding my own overlays and effects and that's just name a few. I also had a chance to work with some talented content creators including Steven Page (Balena Productions), TheDragonSuperfan (formally TheDragonSuperman), William Smith (Sonic the Ghetto-Hog Productions), Coodoo17, Richard Hunter (DJ U.N.C.L.E.), Lawrence Glimer (LG) and many others. Eventually, I've been recruited to the "best network in the league," The Dynasty Network, and I owe them plenty to help spread the world of ADTC Productions. Despite personal problems and working between two jobs, it hasn't been an easy road for me especially as of late. Still, if I can turn back time to when I starting making video blogs to meeting and networking great people to setting many milestones on my YouTube channel, I would not change a thing. That said, thanks to my friends, networking partners, collaborators, viewers and subscribers who stick with me for the past five years of my YouTube journey. Here's to another 5 years. Cheers! Since 2000, a movie adaption based on Marvel Comic's unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL, has been passed around movie studios like a hot potato but was too hot to handle and feel through until 20th Century Fox pick it right up from the ground. Before Fox became interested with the project, Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder, Just Friends, Blade Trinity, Waiting) was choosen for the lead role as he showed interest soon after. Reynolds was eventually cast as the "Merc with the Mouth" in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, however the film was criticized mainly for Reynold's character becoming the mutant killer Weapon XI (Scott Adkins) and not the Deadpool fans known and loved. In addition, unfortunately any chance of a Deadpool movie was cut shot due to Reynolds starring in the heavily-criticized and box-office bombed Green Lantern, based of the DC Comics superhero of the same name. Fast forward to 2014, a proof of concept test footage patch the Deadpool movie was leaked online and went viral. As a result, the DEADPOOL movie came to be and was released on Valentine's day earlier this year. Reprising his role from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which has since been retconned due the timeline change in X-Men: Days of Future Past), Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson/Deadpool. "Deadpool" also stars Morena Baccarin (Firefly, V, Spy), Ed Skrein (The Transporter Refueled), T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley, Big Hero 6), Gina Carano (Haywire, Fast & Furious 6), Brianna Hilderbrand (First Girl I Loved), and Stefan Kapičić (The Brothers Bloom, Big Miracle) as the voice of Colossus. The film starts out with the craziest opening credits I've ever seen in recent history and re-create the over-the-top highway scene from the leaked test footage. The films before back and fouth between the "Merc With a Mouth" hunting down the film's antagonist Ajax/Francis (Ed Skrein) and flashbacks of pre-Deadpool Wade while in a relationship with an escort name Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). Similar to the comics, after discovered to have terminal cancer, Wade sets off to Department H for experimental treatment to cure his cancer but ultimately became deformed by Ajax's experimentation. After learning that Vanessa has been kidnapped by Ajax and Angel Dust (Gina Carano), Deadpool reluctantly teams up with X-Men members Colossus (Stefan Kapičić) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hikderbrand) to save Vanessa and confront Ajax in a final showdown. The film itself is everything you expect from a Deadpool movie from the strong violence, sexual innuendos, unfiltered profanity and, of course, the titular character breaking the fourth wall. Like other Marvel-based films such as Blade (1999) and The Punisher (1987), Deadpool earns it's hard R-rated for it's over-the-top action and violence, graphic sexual content, and mild-to-extremely cruel humor that will make South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut look tame in comparison. In other words, Deadpool (like the comic) is definitely not for kids! Regardless of the very mature content, it is unapologically hilarious and glorious at the same time. Also, bonus points for a couple of Easter Eggs and of course, a cameo from Stan Lee. Aside from the obvious inconsistencies that separate the film from the source material, here were a few moments in the film that were predictable and a but cliche. With two X-Men members only appear throughout the film, even Deadpool himself thinks that 20th Century Fox couldn't afford to have more X-Men characters. (I shit you not, that's what he said!) Overall, Deadpool is Ryan Reynold's redemption from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Green Lantern and it's the movie that every Deadpool fan (myself included) truly deserves. Funny, Ultra-violent, and unapologetic as it is unconventional. That said, Deadpool is... Looking pass the predictable cliches, it'll definitely makes up with its raunchy comedy and over-the-top action. Strangely enough, even though Deadpool is the highest ranked R-Rated movie in any opening weekend (as of April 2016), it has a home release date of May 2016, just three months after the theatrical release. As much I want to grab a copy, I'm gonna wait for the UNRATED DVD/BLURAY editions. Other than that, one, Go see Deadpool (if not get it on DVD or BluRay), and two, don't let your kids see it...EVER! What you all think of the Deadpool movie? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, keep it lock! More blog reviews coming your way soon...
